Back to About Tyson Steele Associates
We know. You’ve read some of his articles, and you’ve heard about the results his clients generate. Much of what he says seems contrary to the opinions of many of the dental “gurus" -- but it all just seems to make sense to you. In fact, his approach seems so simple and obvious that you can hardly believe no one’s mentioned it before.
So, you wonder, who is this guy and what’s he really all about?
Tyson studied traditional brand-based advertising at one of the top schools in the world, The University of Oregon School of Journalism, in the late 1980s. After that, he worked extensively in the music and entertainment industry as an artist manager, residing in Los Angeles and traveling extensively throughout the United States.
In 1995, Tyson moved back to Oregon and began his career in dentistry, providing traditional practice management coaching to dentists in the Pacific Northwest. At the time, most dental marketing strategies were hopelessly out-of-date. Dancing molar logos and “value mailers” worked well for the average HMO-style clinic, but looked unsophisticated to savvy, upscale consumers who were used to nationally branded products and services. This left high end dentists in a quandary: how could they attract not just MORE new patients , but also the QUALITY of new patients they needed to succeed?
During the next decade, Tyson developed the research-based marketing strategies our firm utilizes to to promote fee-for-service practices.
Today, Tyson Steele Associates is the leader in marketing fee-for-service dentistry. In fact, the firm is one of the largest independent advertising agencies on the west coast, despite providing services solely and exclusively to dentists from throughout the United States. However, despite the agency's success, Tyson continues to personally direct and orchestrate every client's unique combination of strategy and tactics. (That's why we call him "Maestro.")
So if you're ready for the quality and quantity of your new patients to better match the quality and quantity of dentistry you'd like to do, you've come to the right place.
